Tibetan Pulsing Yoga
Group and Individual Sessions
Tibetan Pulsing Yoga is a technique that Anabhra studied with founding teacher Shantam Deeraj at the Osho Ashram in Pune India. Through his years of practicing Tibetan Pulsing Yoga Anabhra's work has evolved into a unique and effective expression of healing bodywork which is rooted in the tradition of Tibetan Pulsing Yoga while incorporating elements from other traditions. The purpose of this work is to dissolve the shocks which manifest as blockages to the electrical flow in our nervous system. The development of Tibetan Pulsing Yoga by master Dheeraj was informed by ancient Tibetan Tantra and Taoist healing practices and creatively designed to be a complete system for restoring health and vibrancy.
Tibetan Pulsing Yoga as practiced and taught by Anabhra is an interdependent system which includes diagnostic eye reading, dietary recommendations, Pulsing (organ massage, pumping and breath work) mouth work, tarot psychology, toning and color therapy. It has proven to be very effective in restoring body/mind balance, healing sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses, improving digestive function, boosting general health and immunity as well as facilitating recovery from emotional wounds and chronic illness.
What is an eye reading?
Tibetan Pulsing Yoga always begins with an eye reading. With the help of a magnifying lense Anabhra examines the iris to help determine the best course of care. The eye reading is a form of diagnostic iridology that illuminates both the psychological and physical ailments that need attention.
What happens during a Tibetan Pulsing bodywork session?
During a bodywork session the giver and receiver wear loose yoga style clothing to facilitate ease of movement. Through holding specific organ contact points the pulsing bodywork creates a "cool fire" which activates internal healing forces and neutralizes negative energy through relaxation of the whole organism.
Each healing session targets a specific organ and begins to melt blocks in the nervous system. Dis-ease is dissolved and the body's natural energy flow is restored. Working attentively through the body it is possible to reach and release areas of emotional, physical and mental tension that are otherwise unnoticed. Stress disappears and a feeling of well being, freedom and vitality arises. Acceptance of each moment becomes simpler.
If you take a look, you'll see that in our daily lives the mind is often running the show. The mind is a wonderful tool, but not so good when it takes the role of master for it loves problems and tends to polarize our experience of living. So this practice facilitates a jump from head to heart. The heart has an innocense; it knows no separation and lives only in the moment....it only wants to unify with other hearts. When two or more people create a tactile connection and tune into the same pulse beat they become one heart. This life force we then feel is bio-electrical energy, tantric energy. We can actually feel it all over the body and it is the strongest tool we have to free ourselves from physical pain as well as emotional and psychological sufferring
What is the Mouth Work?
Mouth work also known as "New Mind" involves stretching and pressure in the mouth tissues and back of the throat applied by a gloved index finger. It releases mucus from the sinus passages and opens up breathing. Often this work involves vomiting to release the excess mucus. The New Mind work is a highly detoxifying technique and has been helpful in healing many kinds of illness, especially sinus and respiratory conditions and chronic stress. Sessions last from 20 to 60 minutes depending on need and readiness for the work. Although New Mind can be very intense and sometimes painful it often leads to a relaxed and bright mind state and improved breathing. It boosts immune function and relieves stress.
